Our Program
Community/Educational Engagement
Educational program: Here OIH prepare student for the success in the school system, ensures that no child is left behind; by providing tutoring for low-income families, underserve and disadvantaged population, New Mainers by offering free educational guideline sessions, scholastic materials, and opportunity for share knowledge with fellow students, with the hope to support high school students and New Mainers that are ready to join college.
- Continue to provide long-term goal that support student from grant five (5th Grade) to grade twelve (12th Grade). The program is designed to reduce challenges faced by New Mainers by learning to become academic success in their lifetime and help prevent dropout student.
Youth Leadership/Training Engagement
- Connect student with Youth Center where they can get help to explore different experience, cultures, and the opportunity to get mentor from the community.
Wellness/Health Wiseness
We provide community members with wellness or healthiness opportunity to navigate resources such as food, housing, employment opportunities, social and emotional support, and connecting community with available service. The services provided include all communities in Maine without discrimination, and a few of those communities include, New Mariners, Immigrants, refugee, asylum seekers, individuals, and all communities in Greater Portland Maine.
